Since 1989, Attorney Peter Georgiou has been helping his clients protect their legal interests no matter what the legal case may be. In particular, Attorney Georgiou has concentrated in protecting the rights of injured workers and their families. In addition to work-related injuries, Attorney Georgiou has helped people that have been injured in motor vehicle accidents through no fault of their own, as well as helping disabled people win social security disability claims. Attorney Georgiou has also helped people in a variety of cases such as construction site accidents, slip and fall on ice and snow, assaults, medical malpractice, and food poisoning. Since 1989, Attorney Georgiou has achieved settlements and court awards ranging from $1,500,000.00 to $5,000.00 for his clients.
Attorney Georgiou is a 1989 graduate of the New England School of Law, cum laude. Attorney Georgiou graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. degree in Public Service, cum laude.
Attorney Georgiou has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association since 1989 and has practiced before all trial courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Georgiou is a member of the United States Supreme Court, and all federal courts in the first district (Massachusetts).
Attorney Georgiou is also a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Attorney Georgiou has taught legal courses at the University of Massachusetts, including criminal law, constitutional law, and the Sociology of law as well as other courses.
Attorney Georgiou is a Certified Mediator under the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Rule 8, and a Member of the American Conflict Resolution Association.
Law Clerk/Office Manager
Deni Valtchanova has been working at the Law Office of Attorney Georgiou since 2001. During this period she has helped thousands of people that have been injured and disabled. Deni is fluent in Bulgarian, Russian, Serbian & other Slavic languages. Prior to coming to the United States, Deni attended the University Of Veliko Turnovo School Of Law. Deni holds a B.A. from Harvard University in Liberal Arts (Ext. St.) and an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Quincy College. In addition to managing the daily operations of the office, Deni has been assisting attorney Georgiou in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, social security disability claims, all motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury cases.
Legal Assistant/Notary Public
Since 2008 Jessica Martinez has had the privilege of helping the Hispanic community while working at the Law Office of Peter Georgiou. As a Legal Assistant she has the opportunity not only to serve the Hispanic community but to do it in their own language which is very important to them and efficient to our justice system. Jessica is a notary public and she assists Attorney Georgiou with workers compensation claims and motor vehicle accident claims.
Prior to joining The Law Office of Peter Georgiou, Jessica studied at Cambridge College. In January 2004 she started working for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in the Voting Rights Act division where she assisted in every election to secure voter registration, and prevent voter discrimination and other irregularities in voting places.
Christiane Goncalves has been working for The Law Office of Peter Georgiou since 2007. Cristiane was born in Brazil and speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. She studied at Bunker Hill Community College. Christiane assists Attorney Georgiou in all areas of personal injury, but more specifically with workers compensation claims and social security disability (SSDI) claims.
